MS-Fix the issue of Call Queue Pickup Delay

Description

This guide shows you a way to fix call queue pickup delay via Microsoft Teams admin center.


Resolution


1.       Sign in Microsoft Teams admin center(https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/users) with the administrator account, and click Voice > Call queues, select the call queue.

2.       Move to Conference mode.

If you enable this feature, when a call agent pick up phone call in a call queue, the call can get through directly.

If you disabled this feature, when a call agent pick up phone call in a call queue, the call will go through a Traferring to xxx(xxx refers to the call agent username) process for about 5 seconds before get through.

Conference mode is disabled by default but can be enabled at any time if the following requirements are met:

1)         Agents added to the call queue need to use one of the following clients:

The latest version of the Microsoft Teams desktop client, Android app, or iOS app or Microsoft Teams phone version 1449/1.0.94.2020051601 or later

2)         Agents' Teams accounts need to be set to Teams-only mode

 Agents who use the Skype for Business client will not receive calls when conference mode is enabled.
