Some customer will doubt about the difference between 'subscribe for MWI' and 'Subscribe MWI to Voice Mail?’

Resolution
    1. What’s ‘Subscribe for MWI’ feature:

account.x.subscribe_mwi

DescriptionIt enables or disables the phone to subscribe the message waiting indicator for account X.

Permitted Values0-Disabled, the server automatically sends a message-summary NOTIFY in a new dialog each time the MWI status changes. (This requires server support).

1-Enabled, the phone will send a SUBSCRIBE message to the server for message-summary updates.

account.x.subscribe_mwi_expires

DescriptionIt configures MWI subscribe expiry time (in seconds) for account X. It works only if “account.X.subscribe_mwi” is set to 1 (Enabled).

Permitted Values: Integer from 0 to 84600

Web UI: AccountAdvancedMWI Subscription Period (Seconds)



2. What’s the ‘Subscribe MWI to voice mail’ feature:

account.x.subscribe_mwi_to_vm

Description: It enables or disables the phone to subscribe the message waiting indicator to the voice mail number for account X. It works only if “account.X.subscribe_mwi” is set to 1 (Enabled) and “voice_mail.number.X” is configured.

Permitted Values: 0-Disabled, the phone will subscribe the message waiting indicator to a specific account.

Description: It configures the voice mail number for account X.

Permitted Values: String within 99 characters
