This guide tells the procedure of upgrading YealinkT58A IP phone from Microsoft Teams edition or SfB edition to Open SIP
(Note: Yealink suggests customers to purchase the Yealink MS Teams Edition (Pre-installed Firmware and License) from channel partners or distributors at Day One, please contact with your reseller and highlight the Yealink Teams Edition with specific SKU let’s say MS-T58A-Teams Edition.)
Teams User
1. Apply SIP license:
1>> On the device, go to Settings -> Device Settings -> About to find out the IP address of the device.
Type the IP address into web browser to go to the web interface of the device, and log in with the default Administrator information:
Username: admin
Password: admin
As shown below:
Yealink Teams license need to be installed on Yealink Teams edition before using. Go to page: https://www.yealink.com/ , under support, click Apply for License, as shown below:
- Register for an account, as shown below:
- Then login to Yealink License Management Platform.
- In the Yealink License Management Platform, go to License Management -> My application, click “+New Temporary License” or “New Permanent License” based on your need.
- Fill out and submit the application form.
Tick the unlock License
MAC address: IP phone: Setting -> Devices Settings -> MAC
OR
Web interface: Status -> Network Common -> MAC Address.
Model: You can find it at the bottom of the device.
When the application is approved, login to Yealink License Management Platform License Management -> My application, scroll all the way to the right, under Action, download the license.
2. Import the SIP license and downgrade to SIP firmware version:
Then, go to web interface Security -> License to upload the license.
Download the latest SIP firmware file via the https://support.yealink.com/
T58A: https://support.yealink.com/documentFront/forwardToDocumentDetailPage?documentId=270
Type the IP address into web browser to go to the web interface of the device, and log in with the default Administrator information:
Username: admin
Password: admin
- Go to Settings -> Upgrade, in the bottom of the page, upload the SIP firmware.
As shown below:
When you click Upload, a Message Question will pop-up, click OK.
(Note: During the update, do not power off the device, close or refresh the browser)
Applicable to:T5x, CP960, VP59: If the Teams firmware version is Android 9.0, you can only downgrade to firmware 91.85.0.5
SFB User
1. Apply SIP license:
On the device, go to Settings -> Device Settings -> About to find out the IP address of the device.
Type the IP address into web browser to go to the web interface of the device, and log in with the default Administrator information:
Username: admin
Password: admin
As shown below:
